Hi there

I'm Viola Bennett. And I'm a writer.

A little more about me...

I’m a copywriter, playwright, and storyteller with a B.A. in Theater from American University. I’ve always been drawn to the power of words to move, motivate, and inspire. To me, brands have personalities, and people connect with the ones they can relate to. I know how to tell those stories in ways that truly resonate with an audience.

Over the past five years in pharma, I’ve expanded that storytelling into something even more meaningful: building trust. Whether speaking to patients or healthcare providers, I create work that helps people feel confident that reliable treatments exist and can make a difference. And yes, OPDP doesn’t scare me—I bring a deep understanding of how to produce engaging, compliant, and compelling work in the pharma space.

As a playwright, I’ve been a member of the Black Playwright’s Initiative at Chicago’s Black Ensemble Theater since 2015. My short plays Stealing Home, The Laundromat, and Par for the Course have been featured in the theater’s festival, along with my biopic musicals More Than a Maid: Hattie McDaniel Past to Present and Dreams and Fantasies: A Dorothy Dandridge Story. I’ve also recently become involved with Lean Ensemble Theater in Hilton Head Island, SC.

When I’m not writing, you can find me cooking, sweating it out at HOTWORX, or spending time with my husband and our two daughters (not in that order).
